After graduating with a PhD in Industrial Engineering and Management Sciences, Long has more than 12 years of professional experience working in the data analysis and modeling field across multiple industries: capital markets, financial service, e-commerce, and information technology for the insurance industry. Currently Long is heading up the Data Science team at SpotHero, a rising startup company promoting digital parking reservation technologies.
In addition to building predictive/prescriptive models, Long’s passion with data science and AI also leads him to search and practice ways to disrupt a company’s business operations with data insights and capabilities by delivering business value and boosting business performance, as well as building/managing data science roadmaps and teams to support such disruption.
