Conference Registration

The number and types of passes allotted to sponsors and exhibitors are based upon your contract. Register your conference attendees online.

Use the following promotion codes upon registration:

  • exhibitstaff = for your exhibit staff, a standard contract gives you two exhibit passes

  • sponsor100 = Full conference pass, the number is based on your contractual agreement

  • If you need more exhibit staff passes than the ones you have contracted for please contact Maria

  • PLEASE NOTE: All Solution Track speakers will be registered for you as speakers by us and receive full conference access so there is no need for you to do anything if you have a Solution Track speaker.

Monitor Rental

If you need any extra equipment for your booth such as TV screens etc. this can be ordered from The Navy Pier. Please contact Kevin Walsh, AV Guru at Navy Pier Please always cc Maria in on your conversations with Kevin so she is aware of what you order.

Electricity, AV

WIFI Internet and power sockets will be available in the exhibition areas. Please remember to bring any extra power cords (extension cords and adapters) or cabling you require yourself. If you want to order electrical and any AV needs please let Kevin Walsh, AV Guru at Navy Pier. Again. please cc Maria in on any conversations you might have so she can help track your order.

If you use floor sockets you will need to ensure that the cables from your laptops are not in the way of aisles.

Prize Draw

Please inform Maria if you will be giving away any prizes at your booth and we can include the information in the opening remarks at GOTO Chicago. The prize can then be raffled on the last day of the conference at the end of the lunch break on the second conference day. This is a opportunity to stand up and announce your prize in front of the crowd and get maximum visibility. Please let Maria know if you would like to raffle a prize.

Ship 900 copies of your bag insert, address details and downloadable shipping labels will be available nearer the time. Please note that we have a strict non-recruitment policy so the bag insert can't be recruitment related.

Due to space restrictions, We can only accept and store boxes for certain days prior to any event when shipping materials to our storage place. Direct shipments need to arrive between the dates of April 16th - 20th, 2018.

Booth Materials and Exhibition orders

Exhibitors have the opportunity to send booth materials/stands to our storage unit before the conference. The material will be delivered to the Navy Pier in time for Exhibitor setup.

Please note that we have a strict non-recruitment policy so if you have any leaflets at your booth, they can't be recruitment related.

Other Information

Exhibition hours

Setup and teardown times

Sponsors can come in and set up during the below time slot:
Wednesday April 25th between 06:00AM-8:00AM

Registration opens at 8 AM on Wednesday morning.

Exhibitors can either tear-down after last break on Thursday April 26th (from 4pm) , 2018 or can stay in the Exhibition until Conference Closing.

Everything have to be taken away and cleared by 6pm on Thursday the 26th April.

Onsite Registration

Onsite registration for the conference opens at 8 AM on April 25th, 2018 - You’ll find the registration at the Conference 2 entry. Your badge is non-transferrable and must be worn throughout the conference and at all social events.

Floor plan

The floor plan will be discussed in conversations with every partner. Once the floorplan is finalised, we will upload it to this page.

Booth Details

We have picked the booth space accordingly and we will try to accomodate your choice to the best of our ability. Remember that food and drinks will be served in the exhibition area and attendees will be roaming around that area through the day and between sessions.

All booth spaces are roughly 4m x 2m - The booth space will consist of two (2) high top cocktail round tables with two chairs, which we provide. There are no walls surrounding your booth - The venue is fully carpeted, including all exhibition areas.

WIFI Internet and power points will be available. Please remember to bring extra power cords or cabling you require. If you have any other special needs, please contact Maria who will be able to put you in contact with the right people at Navy Pier.

Fire Restrictions in Foyer/Exhibition area per City of Chicago Fire

  • Doors, Stairways, Exits and Aisles - Fire doors and stairways must remain accessible and visible during events.
  • Chairs, tables and staging must be placed at least ten feet from the exits.
  • All emergency exits and fire hose cabinets must be maintained at their required clearance widths during show hours.
  • Chairs, tables and other display equipment cannot protrude into aisles.
  • Exhibitor Storage - Storage of any kind is strictly prohibited inside the display areas, behind the back drapes or beyond the display wall. Only a one-day supply of operational and advertising material may be stored inside the exhibit.

Corkage

If you want to have any food or drinks at your booth, you will need to order this from the Navy Pier before the conference. Having some kind of 'teaser' can increase the traffic to your booth. (e.g. cupcakes, coffee, drinks). The Navy Pier will help you with ordering and delivering – and they will make a separate invoice adressed to you.

Signage

Exhibitors can bring their own booth signage to designate your space such as a rollup-type of banner, as long as it does not exceed your booth space of 4m x 2m wide.

Lunch

For exhibitors, lunch will be served 30 min before the regular attendees to make sure you are ready to talk with attendees during the lunch break. The lunch is served in the sponsor area and is included in the passes that come with the booth.

Exhibitor Reception/Party

Wednesday, April 25th at 6:20 PM. Exhibitor Reception & Conference Party

All participants and speakers are invited to join the Conference Party with awesome live music, great food and drinks available.We start off with the 'Exhibitors Reception' where all our sponsors will invite you for a drink. There is no need for you to order any drinks as this is sorted by the team behind GOTO.

The Conference Party will feature two very different music performances - both related to IT in different ways;

  • The Null Pointers, the one and only Java Community Rock Band that came out of nowhere to throw NPEs around, will live perform again this year.
  • Sam Aaron, creator of Sonic Pi, will live code an electronic set for you. Surfing algorithmic waves of deterministic randomisation, he will weave digital and analog sounds creating new music to dance to. Don't miss this excellent opportunity to mingle with speakers and network with other conference attendees.

Scanning Leads

We don't provide sponsors and exhibitors with a list of the attendees. But you have the opportunity to scan leads with the help of our GOTO Guide App.

On every badge there will be a QR code containing a vCard, with the following information (provided that we have the information): Name, email address, title, company name, phone number. With your own smart phone you can scan the QR code to download attendee information in a vCard format and if you prefer afterwards send the information to an e-mail address you decide yourself. To scan badges and save them in .csv format, please download our GOTO Guide app and using the app you can get all the leads compiled into a file.
