Laura Schornack is the Northern Trust Head Department Architect for Asset Servicing where she champions Domain Driven Design, Microservices Design, Tech Modernization/Transformation Activities and the improvement of NFRs throughout Asset Servicing applications. Previously, she has been a JPMorgan Chase Lead Design Authority and the Head Architect for Shared Services in the Commercial Bank. She achieved "Expert Engineer" status at Chase for her Microservices Design and Machine Learning accomplishments. Laura has five patents in these areas. She holds a degree in computer science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Laura's open-source contributions include IBM's Beowulf cluster computing application and Google's Kubeflow Machine Learning pipeline. Laura presents frequently and recently presented at Kubecon and gave a Kubeflow tutorial session at the O'Reilly Velocity conference in San Jose, CA.
