The Mechanized Pen

Ross is not a poet. But he will discuss his experiences with writing machines and share lessons learned along the way working on projects including:

  • expressive cameras
  • computer-generated screenplays
  • a day glo poetic lion statue
  • and a novel written with a car

These and other experiments and provocations are all centered around developing new forms and interfaces for written language, enabled by machine intelligence.

Academic level: All levels / not applicable, as my talk is more about applying code to creative pursuits than academic CS.
