A chemical engineer by training, Scott switched to computer programming after receiving a Ph.D. Coming to Red Hat as a co-founder of JBoss, he now serves as Senior Director of Software Engineering for the JBoss division of Red Hat where he contributes to MicroProfile, Quarkus, Enterprise Java standards, and related projects. He lives in the Seattle area of Washington state.
