Cloud Native Strategy (Closing Remarks)
Many companies see the benefits of highly available, scalable and resilient systems. They want to go ‘cloud native’ but as they reach for containerised microservices they may actually be grabbing the golden egg rather than the goose that laid it.
Focusing on a model Jamie developed called ‘The Cloud Native Journey’ (and a few stories from Greek mythology), this talk looks at the irresistible call to action that is driving the mass adoption of the Cloud Native paradigm across the industry. We’ll see how ‘cloud envy’ and increasing developer autonomy is pushing organisations to take unnecessary risks. Finally, we’ll look at the why managers are signing off on Cloud Migrations without having all the necessary information.
