Up and Running with Amazon EKS
Kubernetes is open source software that allows you to deploy and manage containerized applications at scale. in this hands-on workshop, learn the basics on running Kubernetes, from cluster creation with Amazon EKS, deployment and scaling controls, to running your first app. We also cover how to set up Amazon EKS to run common production applications, including how to build a deployment pipeline, perform code updates and rollbacks with health checks, run batch workloads, set up load balancing, and manage secrets.
Lastly, we’ll cover how to implement operational best practices for running modern applications using Kubernetes on AWS. We cover logging, monitoring, tracing, traffic routing with service mesh, metrics-based Auto Scaling, network security, application migration, and cluster upgrades. Come prepared to build with a laptop.
